The Odd Life of Timothy Green, a movie starring Jennifer Garner, is a very sweet fantasy that is happy, sad, funny and dramatic. If you like movies that tug on your heartstrings and make you cry, then Timothy Green is for you.
Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton play Cindy and Jim Green, a married couple that can’t conceive a child. To help get over their grief they spend a night writing down what they think their child would be like. They bury the list and lo and behold, this child, Timothy, appears in their house the next day.
The movie mostly deals with how Timothy affects the lives on those he meets. While many of the characters fall into typical movie stereotypes, the Green family was a delight to watch. I loved Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton as Timothy’s parents and CJ Adams was adorable as Timothy. During the last ten minutes of the movie there was not a dry eye in the house.
I want to thank The Moms for inviting me to an advance showing of The Odd Life of Timothy Green and Lipton Tea and Honey for sponsoring the event (and serving the many delicious flavors of their iced tea). I would also like to thank Jennifer Garner for stopping by and talking about the movie and being a mother. However, my review of The Odd Life of Timothy Green is completely my own.
