Sony held a two-hour long press event last night to fully debut its new PlayStation 4. We finally got to see what the PS4 looks like and got many more details and a look at many of the games that will be coming to PS4. To say that the crowd was enthusiastic is an extreme understatement. And I never saw such a happy positive group of people as those that were commenting about the PS4 press conference on Twitter! And that really says something.

There are also some great looking new games coming to the PlayStation Network. Many, of course, are sequels, but sequels of beloved video games. Here are many of the games you will soon be seeing on a PlayStation gaming device:

  • Final Fantasy XV – The trailer shown by Square Enix was amazing. I’m sorry I didn’t get a picture from this. This title will be exclusive to PlayStation!
  • Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag
  • Kingdom Hearts 3
  • The Last of Us – The audience went wild for this long awaited title
  • Puppeteer
  • BEYOND Two Souls – Starring Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe – this really looks like a movie
  • Tearaway for the PS Vita
  • Batman –  and a skin available for the 1960s Batman
  • Infamous: Second Son
  • The Dark Sorcerer
  • Diablo III
  • Watch Dogs

From the looks of things, Sony’s PlayStation 4 could be the video game system to beat this holiday season.  Between the price and the features, the PS4 looks to be a win/win. I know that my family is dying to get one.

Full Disclosure: I am part of the PlayStation family which does not pay me, I get occasional free items to review. I was not asked to cover this conference, I did it on my own and all views are my own.
