I loved the Hunger Games Trilogy. I am happy to say that I have found another YA book trilogy with some similarities, that is just as exciting, yet with a completely different story. The first book of the Socialpunk trilogy, Social Punk, was recently released, and I couldn’t put it down.
Like the Hunger Games, Social Punk is a YA novel set in a dystopian future with a teenage girl as the protagonist. Here is the rest of the description of Social Punk:
“Ima would give anything to escape The Dome and learn what’s beyond its barriers, but the Chicago government has kept all its citizens on lockdown ever since the Scorched Years left most of the world a desert wasteland. When a mysterious group of hooded figures enters the city unexpectedly, Ima uncovers a plot to destroy The Dome and is given the choice between escaping to a new, dangerous city or staying behind and fighting a battle she can never win.”
Social Punk is a science fiction YA book that all ages will love. It is an extremely fast read. If the second and third books in the series, Social Mob and Social Hood, were available, I would have read them immediately. This is a perfect book for parents and teens to bond over. And the Kindle version of Social Punk is only $4.97 on Amazon. How can you not try it out?
