Below is a guest post from the SummerTech Computer Camp:

Boys aren’t the only wanna-be programmers out there. There has been a growing number of young girls who are adding computers to their list of fun hobbies. In response, SummerTech, the leading computer camp,  is launching a new program that specifically caters to girls 10-17 next summer. And on July 25th, you are invited to their open-house and special preview day with your teens/tweens from 1:45-3:00pm.

SummerTech owner, Steven Fink: “The new girls program will offer the same fully-packed camp curriculum that has made us so popular, including the very best of coding, animation and Web curriculum. But, the added bonus will be special  activities and electives that are designed to empower girls to become high-tech learners, gain confidence as they excel, and discover the fun world of computers alongside new friends.”

The world of computers is a wide open one with new and exciting opportunities continuously emerging for girls. Women today comprise almost 30 percent of the computing workforce, and that will grow as new opportunities and programs like this one are developed.
