Have you ever dreamed of running your own business? A new TV series on A&E, Be The Boss, will feature two franchise employees competing to win a franchise of their own. The first episode airs Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 11pm ET/PT on A&E.
The employees competing think that the prize is a promotion. Along the way they realize that the prize is actually ownership of the franchise. I owned a franchise at one point and the great thing about it is the idea has already been tested and all systems, ads, etc. are already in place. The most difficult part can be paying for it.
The franchise brands that the contestants will be competing to win in the first season include:
- The Melting Pot Restaurant – Fondue restaurant franchise (delicious, especially the desserts).
- Aunt Annies – Hand-rolled soft pretzels sold in a variety of flavors mostly at malls and airports (love these pretzels – so hard to resist).
- Molly Maid – Professional residential housecleaning (best part of using this type of service is the maids are insured, licensed and bonded).
- Complete Nutrition – Retail stores that sell nutritional supplements for safe and effective weight management, sports nutrition, and general health.
